Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Spoiler: we're not selling your data to anyone. We're gamers, not data brokers.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our services. Here's what we gather and why. Don't worry - we're not building a dossier on you. Probably.

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you sign in via Steam or Discord, we receive your username, profile picture, and unique identifier. We don't get your password (that would be creepy).
  • Payment Information: When you make a purchase, our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) handle the transaction. We only store transaction IDs and purchase history - never your full card number.
  • Communications: Support tickets, forum posts, and messages you send us. We keep these to help resolve issues and improve our services.
  • In-Game Data: Your gameplay stats, inventory, virtual currency balances, and server preferences. Yes, we know how many times you've died.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers. This helps us optimize our services and detect fraud.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and actions taken. We use this to understand how people use our platform and make it better.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use cookies to keep you logged in and track analytics. Short version: we use cookies to keep you logged in and track analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services (the obvious one)
  • Process transactions and send related information (receipts, confirmations)
  • Deliver your purchased items and virtual goods
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse
  • Personalize your experience (showing relevant content and recommendations)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our services
  • Send promotional communications (only if you opt in, we're not animals)

We Do NOT: Sell your personal information to third parties, use your data for creepy targeted advertising across the internet, or share your data with anyone who asks nicely. Your data stays in our ecosystem.

3. Information Sharing

We don't sell your data. Period. But we do share information in limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third parties who help us operate our services:

  • Payment Processors: Stripe and PayPal for handling transactions
  • Hosting Providers: For our servers and infrastructure
  • Analytics Services: To understand how our services are used
  • Email Services: For transactional and marketing emails

These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request. We'll try to notify you if legally permitted.

Business Transfers

If Icefuse Networks is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We'll notify you of any such change and your options.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies. Not the delicious kind, unfortunately.

The short version: we use essential cookies to keep you logged in and make the site work, analytics cookies to understand usage, and preference cookies to remember your settings. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

5. Data Security

We take security seriously. Like, actually seriously. Here's what we do:

  • All data transmitted is encrypted using TLS/SSL (HTTPS everywhere)
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt)
  • Sensitive data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Access controls and monitoring for our systems
  • Employee training on data protection practices

Important: While we do our best to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please use a strong, unique password. "password123" is not a strong password. Neither is your dog's name.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your data (subject to legal requirements and legitimate business needs)
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
  • Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it

To exercise these rights, contact us through our support system or email. We'll respond within 30 days (or sooner, because we're efficient like that).

For EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

We process your data based on: contract performance (providing our services), legitimate interests (improving our services, preventing fraud), consent (marketing), and legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California Residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. Good news: we don't sell your personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Users between 13-18 should have parental consent before using our Services or making purchases. If you're a minor, please get your parents' permission first. They might even be cool enough to play with you.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Generally:

  • Account data: Until you delete your account, plus a short retention period for backups
  • Transaction data: 7 years (tax and legal requirements)
  • Support tickets: 3 years after resolution
  • Analytics data: Aggregated after 30-90 days, then anonymized
  • Server logs: 90 days

When you request account deletion, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep it.
